Site Excavation
With our state-of-the-art equipment and experienced operators, Abel Construction can handle all site excavation needs.
After performing a computer takeoff of the site grading, we are capable of balancing the earthwork, depending upon specific site conditions. We’re then ready, with our fleet of dozers, scrapers, excavators, off-road trucks and compactors, to mobilize and complete earthmoving activities.
Concerned about rock? Don’t be: since we perform the drilling and blasting ourselves and don’t depend on subcontractors, there is never a scheduling concern if we encounter rock on your site. Regardless the size or type of site preparation needed, Abel has both the personnel and equipment necessary to make it happen quickly and expertly.
Sanitary Sewer
Abel Construction pipe crews have experience in all types of sanitary sewer installation.
We construct standard gravity systems, as well as pumping stations and their associated force mains. All installations are performed safely and according to authority specifications, with signed inspection reports kept on file for future reference, should the need arise.

Our sanitary sewer experience includes not only projects for developers in the private market, but also work directly for authorities in the public sector. From standard gravity systems, to more complex systems with pumping stations and force mains, we have the knowledge and expertise to construct your project’s facilities.
Storm Water Management
We work closely with your engineers and designers to knowledgeably construct complete stormwater management facilities.
Our projects begin with the installation of erosion control measures and sediment basins, and proceed through the completion of the pipeline system. All work items are included in our site package:
- Detention basins
- Underground storage
- Pipe installation
We also construct underground storage detention systems, when a standard above-ground basin is not possible due to site configuration or regulations. Whether your project requires a small storm water system or a larger, more complicated design, we have the background and equipment to install it.
Waterline
We construct water lines for both public and privately owned water companies.
Our scope of work includes the installation of ductile iron and PVC mains, as well as the completion of individual water service laterals.

In addition, we install water meter pit assemblies to monitor water usage where necessary. We’ve also constructed more complex assets, including a water storage tank and its related water treatment facility. Curbing
Abel Construction’s strong structural concrete background, along with our quality subcontractors, allow us to perform the placement of many ancillary water and traffic management structures.
We work with your site engineer to help determine proper placement and construction of such structures as:

We are able to construct all types of concrete curbing, including:

We “value engineer” the land development plans as we are preparing a price to construct the improvements on your project. Using our diverse experience, we can install the storm water conveyance system best suited to address the drainage requirements of your site.
Paving
Abel Construction includes bituminous paving in the site development package we offer our clients.
We have excellent affiliations with the most reputable paving professionals in our area of work.
These relationships ensure that your paving project conforms to regulations, and that administrative elements of your project go smoothly.
